Jake and Josh's first Science experiment

Jake has developed a love for animals and insects. After noticing his love for butterflies and ladybugs, we decided to buy a butterfly pavilion and ladybug farm. I wanted Jake and Josh to see and learn the life cycle of ladybugs and butterflies. We decided to watch the ladybugs first and mailed our coupon. Sadly, we received a letter in the mail stating that it was too hot right now and will have to wait until it gets cooler (which seems like forever in Texas).
In the meantime, while helping my parents at Uncle Timmy's house on Sunday we came across a cute little caterpillar, in which we have named Fuzzy. Jake and Josh quickly became attached to Fuzzy. I told them if they kept him throughout the day they could take Fuzzy home and put him in our butterfly pavilion.
Josh was upset because Jake became very possessive of Fuzzy and wouldn't let Josh hold him. Grandpa, Grandma and I told Josh we would keep our eyes peeled for another one. Later in the day I found another one in which we have named Wuzzy because he is not so Fuzzy.

Fuzzy- Day 1

Wuzzy- Day 1

Well, Fuzzy and Wuzzy made it home to the butterfly pavilion. After the boys went to bed I researched to see what type of butterflies they will be and what they need to eat. After much research I found that Fuzzy is a Luagher moth and is going to amount to a Owlet Moth. Oh well, the boys don't know the difference and it will still be fun to watch the life cycle. I am not sure about Wuzzy yet.
I was not sure Fuzzy and Wuzzy would make it through the night especially after Josh pounded the pavilion and rolled it around on the ground, but they survived. As you can see, Fuzzy had quite an appetite overnight! We will keep you updated on this amazing transformation from caterpillar to beautiful Moth.

Day 2

The boys will only hold Fuzzy. (Wuzzy doesn't look like much fun to hold)
